Get ready for the biggest Waka Ama race on the South Island, right here in the stunning Kaiteretere! Waka te Tasman attracts top crews and paddlers from around the country while also providing an opportunity for novice racers to join in the fun and friendly competition. The atmosphere is always electric, and whether the conditions are challenging or calm, the experience is unforgettable. There are races for rangatahi, wāhine, and tāne across various age categories.

• Adult paddlers: $60 per person

• Rangatahi: $30 per person

If you're racing singles or doubles on Friday and participating in a crew race on Saturday, your entry fee remains the same. The fee includes food – see the pānui for more details.
