Nestled at the top of New Zealand's South Island, right on the famous Kaiteriteri Beach, Kaiteriteri Recreation Reserve stands as an ideal destination for school trips from April to December each year. This haven of outdoor adventures offers activities that promise thrill and excitement and foster a deep connection with nature and conservation.

For water enthusiasts, the pristine waters of Kaiteriteri Beach provides a perfect backdrop for kayaking and paddleboarding. Students can explore the coastline, witness marine life, and develop water skills in a safe and supervised environment. Our Mountain Bike Park offers an adrenaline-pumping experience, with various trails suitable for all skill levels. It's a fantastic opportunity for students to challenge themselves physically while enjoying the stunning scenery.

Nature lovers will be captivated by the iconic Split Apple Rock and the adjacent Abel Tasman National Park, both easily accessible by boat from the reserve. The 250-hectare Reserve offers incredible walks through the lush native bush, allowing students to immerse themselves in the rich biodiversity and learn about conservation efforts. As part of the educational experience, students can actively contribute to conservation by participating in tree-planting initiatives, fostering a sense of responsibility for the environment.

Kaiteriteri Recreation Reserve offers a holistic approach to school trips, combining adventure, education, and environmental stewardship. It's an unforgettable journey that leaves students with lasting memories and a profound appreciation for the wonders of nature.

We work with all local businesses and our community to obtain the best prices for all local activities.

There isn’t a single amazing thing about Kaiteriteri. There are about ten zillion. So we will help you to start figuring out what to put at the top of your list, to get the most from your visit and point you in the right direction.
