Are you a friendly individual with excellent communication skills looking for a role that combines customer service with local knowledge? We want to hear from you!

As a key member of our team, you’ll bring a positive attitude to enforcing camp and Reserve rules, making campers and visitors feel welcome, and ensuring everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience. You’ll also share local tips, handle bookings, and maintain a tidy Reception area.

About the Role:

  • Duration: Fixed-term
  • Hours: Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Friendly Demeanor: Present a well-groomed, courteous, and polite demeanour to the public.
  • Rule Enforcement: Apply camp and Reserve rules fairly and professionally.
  • Communication Skills: Develop a positive rapport with campers, visitors, staff, and external agencies such as police, fire, and ambulance services.
  • Local Knowledge: Provide advice and information about the local area and attractions.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensure the Reception area is clean and tidy at all times.
  • Administrative Skills: Manage bookings, follow up on unpaid balances, count money, keep records, and organize regular banking of cash.
  • Flexibility: Assist with daily and monthly reports and undertake other duties as requested by the Guest Services Manager.


Additional Information:

  • Training: Full training will be provided to help you understand and apply all policies and procedures.

The Kaiteriteri Recreation Reserve is located at the gateway to the Abel Tasman National Park in the spectacular Tasman region, just a 50-minute drive from Nelson and 20 minutes from Motueka. Our vision is to be the premier outdoor coastal recreation destination in New Zealand, with 250 hectares of historic coastal land, including the famous Kaiteriteri Beach, Kaiteriteri Mountain Bike Park, and Kaka Pa Historic Reserve.
