Reporting to the Store Manager, this is a precinct-wide role with responsibility for the seasonal Inwards Goods team.

Ensure that all areas in the loading dock driveway and on the loading docks are clean, organised, uncluttered, and safe from any hazards.

Ensure that trucks and vehicles operate safely and to policy when entering the Reserve and when maneuvering in and around the loading dock areas. The team leader will be a key contributor to the loading dock operating policy and will oversee vehicle and equipment safety and compliance.

Unload trucks and move stock safely and carefully by hand, moving equipment and forklift. Is qualified, certified, and current on all loading dock vehicles and equipment.

Check inward goods using technology linked to our stock systems and reconcile against paperwork. Any discrepancies are to be investigated immediately.

Transfer of goods from the loading docks into storage areas.

In liaison with the Head Chef and Store Manager, manage the storage areas including refrigerated and freezer units to ensure they are kept clean, tidy and well organised.

In liaison with Facilities & Environment, ensure that freezer and refrigerator units are operating safely and as intended to specifications.

Complete stock takes and assist with floor duties as required.

Set standards of professionalism across presentation, timeliness, energy, teamwork, and attention to detail. Ensures a positive team atmosphere and culture. Staff are courteous and helpful at all times. All staff maintain high standards of conduct and support other team members. Has a strong working relationship with other Precinct staff.

Prioritise tasks effectively to ensure the most important tasks are completed on time and delegates and follows-up effectively. Manages team rosters and reconciles timesheets to ensure the smooth operational running of the team in line with budget parameters and KPIs.

Ensure compliance to all Health and Safety legislation and policies.
